Transparency matters more than false precision. Every result should be traceable to a formula, assumption and source.

How calculations work

Calculators use published statutory formulas, standard financial formulas or period-by-period cash-flow models. Values are rounded only for display unless a tool states otherwise.

Sources

We prioritise Hong Kong government departments, statutory bodies and regulators, including the Inland Revenue Department, MPFA, Labour Department, Transport Department and HKMA.

Assumptions and limits

  • Results cannot include product or employment terms that you did not enter.
  • Returns, inflation and interest rates are assumptions, not forecasts.
  • Tax and statutory entitlement can still depend on individual circumstances.

Updates and corrections

We update tools when official rules or data change. To report an error, include the tool name, inputs and an authoritative reference through our contact page.
